SPACA’s Grade 7 Student Wins Two Medals at SIMSO 2025

Marlou Chris Nequia, a Grade 7 student from South Philippine Adventist College Academy, earned a Silver medal in Mathematics and a Bronze medal in Science at the Siam International Mathematics & Science Olympics (SIMSO) 2025 from August 8–11. He was among 69 Filipino students representing the country in a rigorous competition that brought together young minds from 12 nations, including Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, India, and Vietnam.

Marlou’s participation took him to Thailand, where he and his mother travelled for the event.

SIMSO is an internationally recognized competition conducted online, where top students from national rounds compete in a challenging academic environment, remotely proctored to ensure integrity.

The SPAC family extends warm congratulations to Marlou, whose success brings pride to the school, serving as a real example of what students can achieve with support, hard work, and the right learning environment.
