The SPAC Computer Science Department demonstrated skills and teamwork at the Cor Jesu College (CJC) IT Week 2024, held on November 18-19 at the CJC Campus and Gaisano Grand Mall in Digos City. The event, themed "Ignite Innovators: Shaping Tomorrow, Today," gathered twelve schools from Davao del Sur to celebrate advancements in technology and innovation.
SPAC students delivered outstanding performances in various competitions. Rani Jay Natavio earned 3rd place in the Fast Typing Competition, demonstrating excellent speed and accuracy. In the Quiz Bee, Renafe Caminade and Carl Paño secured 3rd place, showcasing their IT knowledge. Additionally, Earl Jay Torayno placed 3rd in the Debugging Competition, solving programming challenges with skill.
These achievements were made possible with the guidance and support of SPAC’s faculty sponsors: Arwin B. Rañola, Mauren D. Banasing, Neila M. Paglinawan-Muñez, Esperanza R. Yumang, and Mailyn D. Cabanlit, who worked closely with the students to prepare for the event.
The event also provided opportunities for students to learn and connect with peers from other schools while staying updated on IT trends. SPAC’s strong performance highlights the dedication and effort of its students and faculty in the Computer Science Department.
