The Student Association of Literature Evangelists (SALE) held its convention on February 14, aiming to inspire students to join the canvassing ministry and empower student literature evangelists in their mission as faithful messengers of God's Word. The event brought together students united by a common purpose—to share messages of hope and faith through literature.
The convention was attended by publishing directors from various missions and conferences, including:
- Pr. Donald Torreon (Southeastern Caraga Mission)
- Pr. Juanito Dote (Southern Mindanao Mission)
- Pr. Elfred Regoniel (South Central Mindanao Mission)
- Pr. Dominador Tipdas (Davao Mission)
- Pr. Jimuel Verba (Northern Davao Mission)
- Pr. Danny Inato (Southeastern Philippine Union Mission)
- Pr. Daniel Trazo (Central Visayan Conference)
- Pr. Norberto Pamisa (Central Philippine Union Conference)
- Pr. Rey Cabañero (Southern Asia-Pacific Division)
During the convention, speakers emphasized the importance of literature evangelism in fulfilling the church's mission. The publishing ministry remains a powerful means of spreading the gospel of hope worldwide, especially in these crucial times. Attendees also heard testimonies from experienced literature evangelists, illustrating how this work changes lives—not only of those receiving the literature but also of those who dedicate themselves to sharing it.
The highlight of the event was the SALE Building Groundbreaking Ceremony, a significant milestone in the history of the organization. The ceremony reflected on SALE’s journey and the purpose of the new building, which will serve as a training center for knowledge, character, and faith. More than just a structure, it symbolizes hope, encouragement, and a stronger sense of community for student literature evangelists. This event reaffirmed SPAC's commitment to nurturing and expanding this ministry.
As Psalm 127:1 reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” This initiative is a testament to God’s divine plan and provision. As we look forward to the completion of this building, let us continue to pray and eagerly anticipate the impact it will have on our campus and beyond.
