South Philippine Adventist College received an endowment grant from the Adventist University of the Philippines during the Endowment Awarding Program held on June 17, 2026.

The program was attended by Adventist Education leaders and administrators from several Adventist schools across the country that were likewise recipients of endowment support from AUP. Representing SPAC were members of the College administration led by the College President, Pr. Alfredo Agustin, who received the grant on behalf of the institution.

The amount will be used to construct the new Elementary Complex, a project intended to provide additional facilities to meet the growing needs of the College's elementary department.

The occasion carried special meaning for SPAC. In 2011, during the administration of then SPAC President Dr. Arceli Rosario, the elementary department, which had previously been under the Davao Mission, was officially transferred to SPAC and became the laboratory school for its Teacher Education programs. Today, Dr. Rosario serves as President of AUP.

Fifteen years after that transition, the elementary department continues to grow. Through the endowment extended by AUP, another milestone has been added to its story.

The new Elementary Complex is expected to strengthen the department's capacity to serve young learners while providing future teachers with a better environment for observation and practice teaching.

For SPAC, the award is a reminder of how seeds planted years ago continue to bear fruit, and how institutions united by a common mission can help one another move forward.
