South Philippine Adventist College concluded Kalimuhagan 2025: The Third SPAC Multidisciplinary Research Congress with the theme “Enlighten. Empower. Engage: I Will Go!” The event formally opened at the SPAC Gymnasium and gathered more than 200 participants from SPAC and partner schools, including Digos Central Adventist Academy, Matutum View Academy, and Mindanao Mission Academy.

The congress also highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between SPAC and Mindanao Mission Academy, marking the start of joint research collaborations aimed at strengthening research engagement between the two institutions.

Two keynote speakers, both respected for their extensive work in research and scholarly writing, provided guidance to the participants. Dr. Ruben Tagare opened the event with a discussion on essential practices in scholarly publishing, drawing from his experience as a researcher and academic writer. During the closing program, Dr. Jomar Esto explained the fundamentals of proper citation, clarifying the difference between in-text citations and reference lists—an important area for student researchers.

The congress gave students an avenue to present their work, exchange insights, and learn from peers and mentors. It strengthened collaboration among participating schools and further cultivated a culture of research within the community.
