SPAC Moves Closer to Offering BSN Program as CHED RO XI Conducts RQAT Inspection

South Philippine Adventist College took another big step toward expanding its academic offerings as the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI conducted a Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) inspection on March 7, 2025. The visit was part of SPAC’s application to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

Leading the CHED RO XI evaluation team was Dr. Liza C. Suan, Education Supervisor II, alongside Dr. Patria V. Manalaysay, an RQAT member specializing in Nursing education. They were warmly welcomed by SPAC President Dr. Chliejvferwen C. Catolico, who expressed his enthusiasm and optimism about this milestone for the institution.

Supporting the visit were Dr. Lotchie Genon, VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jacqueline Guerra-Polancos, Dean of the School of Nursing, and Ms. Annlyn G. Amador, Human Resource Director and Accreditation Officer.

The evaluation covered key aspects such as faculty credentials, curriculum design, laboratory and clinical facilities, and overall institutional preparedness. This assessment is a crucial step in ensuring that SPAC meets CHED’s standards and is fully equipped to train future healthcare professionals.

SPAC remains committed to delivering quality education that aligns with national and global healthcare needs. The institution is hopeful for a positive outcome from the RQAT evaluation, bringing it closer to officially launching the BSN program.
